It can be uncomfortable to talk about racism. It can also be hard to know where to start. That’s why we initiated the creation of this interactive book — to give parents simple tools to help empower their kids to be forces for good.
How to Talk To White Kids About Racism is a beginners guide to equip white families to start their journey in life towards fighting racism. That is making an active choice to acknowledge biases and help to create equity for all people, on an individual and institutional level. Racism is a topic that needs to be discussed publicly and honestly. It’s not something that can be solved in this small guide, but we’re hoping that these simple principles can be a starting place for families to engage in talks about and actions against racism.
